Cross-Cutting Themes

Synergy and cooperation

through interdisciplinary exchange

Cross-Cutting Themes

A great strength of the REGULUS research lies in the thematic and disciplinary diversity of the regional innovation groups. This diversity presents both an opportunity and a challenge for networking. Interdisciplinary exchange is more successful when researchers from their respective fields of expertise engage in discourse on common topics and discuss corresponding research concepts. Therefore, the REGULUS community works on cross-cutting themes (CCT) in an ongoing process.

The thematic intersections reveal synergy points, establish integrated connections, touch upon the overall research goals of all innovation groups, and simultaneously highlight important areas of integrated forest and wood research across individual research horizons. Events, workshops, colloquia, and forums on the cross-cutting themes are offered both by the REGULUS innovation groups and the cross-cutting project.
