Innovation network for the use

of recycled wood on a regional level

New value chains through innovative pathways for reusing recycled wood

{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=

Currently, 80% of recycled wood is used for energy production, while only 20% is utilized for material purposes. As a result, the valuable resource wood, which is essential for bioeconomy, is being lost too quickly. To increase efficiency, a cascade use is indispensable. The project ISAR develops new business models for innovative pathways to reuse recycled wood, aiming to extend existing value chains or create new ones. Thereby, the project contributes to transforming wood utilization from a linear to a circular system.
